biography

KLANGSELEKTOR is the synonym for electronic world music influenced by Dubstep, Reggae, Techno, Dub, Psytrance and Folk music. Located in south-west Germany, Klangselektor produces dirty beats, fat basses and heart-opening melodies with deep dubby atmospheres - topped by organic instruments like flutes, guitars, Hang, Water drum and djembe, which are recorded and processed in Klangselektor's cozy studio. Mystic vocals from klangselektor's mystical friends mix up with even more mystical sounds wobbling out of klangselektor's mystic synthesizers.

born 1985 in an musical environment, he wasted his childhood with metal, punk and 90's Eurodance, until he got infected with the electronic virus by the prodigy, which led him into all styles of electronic music, from dub-techno over breakcore to cumbia digital . Meanwhile, he learned to play drums, guitar and didgeridoo. the sonic limits of those instruments were quickly explored and klangselektor searched for ways to create new sounds
- sampler and synthesizers became his best friends on his way to invent a unique style, overcrossing the boundaries of electronic and non-electronic music. when deep melancholic melodies encounter distorted, wobbling basslines mixing up with chirping fx, Klangselektor is a happy man.
